Proel has developed the new SMARTPLUS series to meet today's market demand for highly reliable speaker systems with remarkable sound quality and affordable prices. The trapezoidal enclosures are made using high grade low-resonance composite wood, coated with class 1 type compact carpet. A thick metal grille protects the transducers against damage; all models are also equipped with practical metal handles for easy transport, strong rubber feet for secure positioning, and die-cast aluminium sockets to allow stand mounting. The new SMARTPLUS speakers feature electronic protection for the high frequency compression drivers to ensure the maximum power output and maximum safety at the same time. A new 90°Hx60°V wave guide horn coupled with new 1” compression drivers, has been designed specifically for the SMARTPLUS series to produce crisp, clear and powerful sound in any application. The new woofers perfectly mate with the drivers, thanks also to the built-in passive crossover at 12 dB/ oct. All SMARTPLUS systems are equipped with dual 4-pin SPK4MP professional connectors for excellent power transfer and parallel connection possibilities. Each SMARTPLUSspeaker has undergone a profound technical innovation of the components for improved sound performance, power and efficiency. The sub-woofers of the SMARTPLUS, including the brand new SMT18SP with a single 18” woofer, are equipped with a high-pass 160Hz/ cut output to enable connection of mid-high satellite speakers thus forming 3-way systems. The SMARTPLUS series offers a wide range of systems for any sound reinforcement need or musical genre. The powered versions of the SMARTPLUS series incorporate dynamic Mosfet power amplifiers: this has the advantage of high reliability, high power output, reduced weight and dimensions. As for all Proel speakers, a complete line of optional accessories is available: speaker stands, wall adjustable arms and speaker cables.
