To complete the NEXT series, Proel introduces two new models: NEXT 8 and NEXT 15, with respectivly 8” and 15” woofers. The new models are available in both passive (4W and 8W ) and active bi-amplified versions. The sturdy polypropylene enclosure has been designed using advanced computer models to withstand high levels of stress. NEXT is lightweight and therefore easy to transport and set up thanks to the custom European neodymium low frequency driver and die-cast aluminium basket, delivering unbelievable sound pressure (NEXT15HP4, NEXT15HP8, NEXT15HBA). NEXT is equipped with an exclusive 90°H x 60°V constant coverage horn which maintains precise control and even sound dispersion of the high frequencies. I ts 1” compression driver delivers crisp, clear and uncoloured sound. Custom 12dB/oct crossovers with PTC electronic protection make sure that sound is delivered properly.The NEXT powered versions feature bi-amplification systems that correctly distribute just the right amount of power to the high and low frequency drivers, minimising the risk of power compression and distortion. All amplifiers feature thermal, DC voltage and short-circuit protections; also provided are a subsonic filter, soft start and RF immunity filter. NEXT powered speakers have a preamplifier with 3 separate balanced input channels to allow direct connection of microphones and instruments without the use of an external mixer. The mixed signal can be linked to other NEXT speakers through an XLR balanced output. Two-band equalisation, volume and ground lift complete the control panel. The handle has an ergonomic design; a built in 35 mm flange allows standard speaker stand mounting; the upper inserts include M8 threads/eyebolt for flying purposes. Multiple arrays are possible thanks to its trapezoidal design. NEXT can work as upright speaker or as a wedge monitor. Great cure has been placed in the realization of the cabinet and the heat dispersion control.
